Motorcycle Tour Route Details

Day 1 - Arrival at Srinagar

Srinagar Alt. - 4700 Ft

Arrive at Srinagar airport and take a cab to the mentioned hotel. Check-in at the hotel & relax. You may head out for the famous Shikara ride at Dal Lake. Come back to the hotel in the evening for orientation and group meet-up. Learn all about the road trip in orientation - the roadmap, riding etiquette, pitfalls, & rules followed by bike allocation. Please test the bike allotted to you & inform the team of adjustments. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight Srinagar Hotel.

Day 2 - Srinagar – Kargil

Srinagar Alt. - 4700 Ft Kargil Alt. - 8800 Ft

Start the day with a short test ride of the allocated bike. Convey the issues that need to fix. We will head to Kargil via Zoji La pass. Check your skills on the rough roads to the top of the mountain. We will spend time at the Kargil war memorial. You can spot tiger Hill, Tololing and Pt 4875 from there. We will continue the journey to Kargil. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3 - Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh

Sarchu Alt. - 14500 Ft Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft

Enjoy riding on the beautiful stretch of the road. We stop at Lamayuru to glance at the Moon land of Ladakh. Before reaching Kargil, we will cross Fotu La and Namik La at 13500 ft and 12200 Ft. Enjoy a delicious meal at the midpoint of our journey. Beyond Khaltse, We will visit Magnetic Hill, the Zanskar Indus River confluence and Gurudawara Patthar Sahib with our team. Enjoy the evening in the Leh Hotel.

Day 4 - Exploring Leh and around

Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft

Start the city exploration after a good breakfast. Feel free to wander the city - the market, the monasteries, and the palaces. Our team will guide you about places of your interest. You can consider the day to rest. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 5 - Leh - Khardung La - Nubra valley

Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft Nubra Alt. - 10080 Ft

We will ride on the road above 18000 ft, maintained by the Border Road Organisation. Steep turns, low oxygen & weather unpredictability rank the ride among the most challenging rides. We will make a photo stop at the top for a photo at the landmark board. We ride downhill towards Nubra Valley. We will make a stop at Diskit Monastery for prayers. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley campsite or guesthouse.

Day 6 - Nubra - Shyok Agham - Pangong Tso

Nubra Alt. - 10080 Ft Pangong Alt. - 15280 Ft

It is a day of making a way in mud & water crossings. The Shyok valley acts as a wind tunnel; a shaking biker and his ride by powerful winds. Sandstorms and rolling stones are very usual crossings. Few water crossings en route are so huge and challenging, nothing like you have seen before. Later, face hilly curves along the Shyok River. Overnight camp stays near the Pangong Lake at Tangste or Spangmik.

Day 7 - Pangong Tso – Chang La – Leh

Pangong Alt. - 15280 Ft Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft

We will start on the narrow road along the Pangong lake coast. You encounter numerous water streams on the road before you reach the next big thing - Chang La Pass. En route to the mountain peak, you ride uphill on earthen and gravel roads to mighty Chang La (17,580 Ft). Catch the glimpse of Kang Yisay Peak of Hemis National Park. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 8 - Leh - Tanglang La – Sarchu

Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft Sarchu Alt. - 14500 Ft

You will head to a deserted location to spend the night with minimal human footprints. Many adventures and beautiful locations wait for you. You will cross 3 high altitude passes by riding on varied road conditions - Naki La (15,547 Ft), Lachalung La (16,616 Ft), and Tanglang La (17582 Ft). Not to mention the surreal experience of being photographed at Moray Plains (Only part of the Tibetan Plateau in India) and dining your lunch in a cramped hut at Pang is once in a lifetime experience. Enjoy the star studded night in the trembling camps at Sarchu.

Day 9 - Sarchu – Jispa – Manali

You will understand the primal way of survival after spending the night at Sarchu. We will ride onto the urban life to Manali after witnessing the blissful Suraj Taal and Deepak Taal while riding on Baralach La pass (16000 ft). The route will never disappoint you in throwing some great adventure in the road conditions and nature hurdles. You will enjoy transversing through the 9 Km long man-made marvel – The Atal Tunnel. Enjoy the evening at Manali. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 - Departure from Manali
