Motorcycle Tour Route Details

Day 1 - Arrival at Manali

Manali Alt. - 6700 Ft

You are at the right place for the adventure. Fly to Delhi / Chandigarh / Kullu Airport. Take a taxi ride or bus ride to reach Manali. Our team will assist you with your check-in at the hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you are free to wander the meadows if you wish. Please come back to the hotel in the evening for orientation and group meet-up. Learn all about the road trip - the roadmap, riding etiquette, pitfalls, & rules followed by bike allocation. After checking the bikes & notifying any issues, head to the dining area for dinner. We recommend good sleep before the 1st riding day.

Day 2 - Manali - Atal Tunnel – Sarchu

Manali Alt. - 6700 Ft Sarchu Alt. - 14500 Ft

Wake up early & reach the parking to check if your luggage has been loaded in the backup vehicle. After breakfast, we will depart for Sarchu through Rohtang Tunnel. After crossing a 9 km long Atal tunnel, witness the sudden change in vegetation and the mountains. On the way to Keylong, witness the heart shaped waterfall at Sissu. We will take a short stop at Tandi (Keylong) to fuel up for the next 350 Km. Weather and road conditions are very unpredictable in this region & may change momentarily. Many surprises wait for you while you ride to Baralacha La (16,500 Ft). Be mesmerised by the beauty of Suraj Taal while you stand at the top. The true rider in you will sense the adventure on the way to Sarchu. You will ride on the narrow bumpy roads till Sarchu. Overnight stay and dinner in swiss tents in the cold – windy desert of Sarchu.

Day 3 - Sarchu - Morey Plains – Leh

Sarchu Alt. - 14500 Ft Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft

Today, the ride adds another level of adventure – more unique topography & more altitude. After breakfast, we will ride to enjoy the scenery riding through the freezing-cold water crossings. Keep an eye on falling mountain rocks while you ride to the high-altitude passes - Naki La (15,547 Ft) & Lachalung La (16,616 Ft). Later, we will take a brief stop at Morey plains, the most picturesque road stretch and only part of the Tibetan plateau in India. Later, you will climb to Tanglang La top sitting at 17582 Ft. Later, we will ride up to Leh city following the river. Enjoy the brief ride from the mountain top to Leh with an unimaginably beautiful road. Overnight at Leh city.

Day 4 - Exploring Leh and around

Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft

Start the city exploration after a good breakfast. Feel free to wander the city - the market, the monasteries, and the palaces. Our team will guide you about places of your interest. You can consider the day to rest. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 5 - Leh - Khardung La - Nubra valley

Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft Nubra Alt. - 10080 Ft

We will ride on the road above 18000 ft, maintained by Border Road Organisation. Steep turns, low oxygen & weather unpredictability rank the ride among the most challenging ride. We will make a photo stop at the top for a photo at the landmark board. We ride downhill towards Nubra Valley. We will make a stop at Diskit Monastery for prayers. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley campsite or guesthouse..

Day 6 - Nubra - Shyok Agham - Pangong Tso

Nubra Alt. - 10080 Ft Pangong Alt. - 15280 Ft

It is a day of making a way in mud & water crossings. The Shyok valley acts as a wind tunnel; a shaking biker and his ride by powerful winds. Sandstorms and rolling stones are very usual crossings. Few water crossings en route are so huge and challenging, nothing like you have seen before. Later, face hilly curves along the Shyok River. Overnight camp stays near the Pangong Lake at Tangste or Spangmik.

Day 7 - Pangong Tso – Chang La – Leh

Pangong Alt. - 15280 Ft Leh Alt. – 11500 Ft

We will start on the narrow road along the Pangong lake coast. You encounter numerous water streams on the road before you reach the next big thing - Chang La Pass. En route to the mountain peak, you ride uphill on earthen and gravel roads to mighty Chang La (17,580 Ft). Catch the glimpse of Kang Yisay Peak of Hemis National Park. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 8 - Leh - Lamayuru – Kargil

We leave the 'more urban town' to explore the culture of Historic Ladakh. We will ride along the Indus till Khaltsi. We will visit Magnetic Hill, the Zanskar-Indus confluence and Gurudawara Patthar Sahib. We stop at Lamayuru to glance at the Moon land of Ladakh. Before reaching Kargil, we will cross Fotu La and Namik La at 13500 ft and 12200 Ft. Overnight at Kargil.

Day 9 - Kargil – Srinagar

Kargil Alt. - 8800 Ft Sonamarg Alt. - 8900 Ft

After breakfast, we will leave the Ladakh region and head towards Kashmir union territory. The actual line of control with Pakistan is close to Kargil. You will understand this when we take a pit stop at Kargil Memorial to pay tribute to martyr soldiers. Witness the peaks which applaud the bravery of the martyred soldiers from the war memorial. After spending quality time at the war memorial, we will test our ride skills and endurance on the Zoji La Pass. Witness the second coldest village in Asia on the way. After crossing the mountain top, enter the Kashmir region and reach Srinagar. Upon reaching the hamlet town, hand over the bikes to the team and you can explore Srinagar city on your own Overnight stay at the Srinagar hotel.
